There’s Nothing Wrong, There’s Only Reality — The Transcript

Tom’s University. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality! There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality.

That’s the class today. That’s the focus of the class today. That’s the skill, that’s the consciousness skill, there is only reality. Every moment your consciousness goes in the direction of, “Oh, something’s wrong, something’s wrong!” It takes you away from reality unless, there really is something wrong.  Meaning, unless, your life is in danger or the life of your loved one is in danger, then there’s something wrong. Otherwise, there’s nothing wrong, there is only reality. There’s only reality even when there’s danger. Yeah. When your consciousness goes even a little ways into, “There’s something wrong, there’s something wrong!” It’s fear that there’s something wrong. When there’s real danger and you’re acting and your taking action in relation to the danger  .  .  .  .  You’re just doing it, you’re just doing it. You are taking care of business.

But, when there’s no real danger and your consciousness goes into, “There’s something wrong, there’s something wrong!” It generates fear in your system, in your whole body beingness, and it clouds your ability to be grounded, balanced in reality. And when your awareness of reality is clouded and you’re unbalanced, you’re not capable of choosing. You’re not capable of choosing in that moment, because you’re in fear. Maybe just a teeny-teeny little bit, but that little bit of fear takes you away from reality. And it’s only in reality that you can evaluate the situation in the present, in present reality, and make good choices for you and your life and your teammates, your family, your teams.

There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality. That’s the class today. That’s the skill, that’s the consciousness skill. Get it, get it. There is nothing wrong with you. That’s the worst, that’s the worst fear because that really leads you astray.  To have your consciousness go even just a little bit, “Oh, maybe there’s something wrong with me,” that triggers .  .  .  .  what I would call it .  .  .  .   well it triggers a dead end.  It triggers catch 22, or double bind.   In essence, you are being afraid of yourself. I mean, you’re not, but you’re… Yeah, wow! That’s not a good strategy; there is nothing wrong with you.    You can probably say that for 10,000 times if you have any of that tendency to go for… If your consciousness has any of the habit to go in the direction of being afraid there’s something wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you. There never was, and there never will be. There only is the reality of you. Yeah, that’s the class. That’s the consciousness. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality!

So, how do you know you’re in that consciousness? Well, I guess what I’m going to suggest is that you just start monitoring it. Monitoring so that you can start being aware of when you go into, “Something’s wrong, something’s wrong!” And hopefully you remember this class. You remember Tom’s University. You remember me saying, “There’s nothing wrong, there’s nothing wrong. There’s only reality.”

The first step to change is awareness. So, I’m suggesting that if your life doesn’t run smoothly all the time, that there just might be some of that automatic patterning in your brain, in your consciousness that goes into “Something’s wrong, something’s wrong!” either internally or externally. I’m not going to say one is better than the other. They just lead to different patterns. Yeah, so just start monitoring your consciousness and notice if you go into, “Something’s wrong, something’s wrong!” Here’s a hint. If you go into judgment of other people frequently or even moderately, that’s a hint that in that moment, you’ve gone into “Something’s wrong, something’s wrong!” with that other person. If you complain about things, other people, or situations, or… Yeah, if you complain, that’s a hint that you go into that consciousness of “Something’s wrong! Something’s wrong!” Your complaining is just the symptom. And if you get anxious, that’s a big symptom that you system is going  ”Something’s wrong! Something’s wrong!” and usually, there’s something wrong in the future or there’s something that’s going to be wrong,  and if you get depressed, I’m convinced, I don’t have any science to support my theory in this area, but I’m convinced that depression is a symptom that “There’s something wrong with me! There’s something wrong with me! There’s something wrong with me!”

Yeah, I’m convinced that depression is a symptom that your consciousness has the habit of going into being afraid and maybe there’s something wrong with you. Or maybe you even got convinced that there is something wrong with you. Well, that would make anybody depressed, right? And I say that with compassion ’cause I’ve been there and I know from personal experience that it is not fun to be depressed so it sounds like I’m making light of being depressed, I’m not. I think, though, that… Yeah, so if you’re… I call it “a friend of depression,” start… Get a friend or start making a journal and see if you can see how your consciousness goes into being afraid there’s something wrong with you or goes into judging you that there’s something wrong with you. Yeah.

Anyway, that’s the class today. There’s nothing wrong. There’s nothing wrong with you. There’s only the reality of you. The reality of you is not right, it’s not wrong. The reality of the world is not right, it’s not wrong. It’s reality. Yeah, there’s nothing wrong, there is only reality.
