Say Yes! to Loving the Flow of Your Life — the Transcript

Say yes to loving the flow of your life. Say no to getting disconnected from loving the flow of your life. Make sense? Make sense?

Your life is flowing every moment, and it’s been flowing every moment since the moment of your birth and it will keep flowing every moment ’til you no longer have life inside of you and yes, it’s a miracle, it’s a miracle. Well, I don’t know if that’s the right word. It’s fantastic! It’s amazing that you’ve got life flowing inside of you right this moment, right this moment, right this moment and that it keeps flowing and then it keeps flowing.

This class is about you having the consciousness of the flow of your life. Yeah, and loving. Loving is a consciousness piece. Loving is about consciousness. You can’t love something if you’re not conscious of it. [chuckle] So, you can’t love your life if you’re not conscious of your life. Say no, to getting disconnected from loving your life. Say no to not being conscious of the flow of your life. Say yes to loving the flow of your life. Say no to getting disconnected from loving the flow of your life.

So, maybe you’re not connected to loving the flow of your life, maybe you don’t even know what I mean, so let me address that. Yeah. Okay. Well, first of all I want to really make explicit that it’s a skill and if you don’t have the skill, if you’re not very skilled, or if you’re low-skilled, or moderate-skilled, or not as skilled as you want to be at being aware of the aliveness inside you, inside your body, this is a moment to moment awareness, to be aware of the life inside of you moment to moment. If you’re not highly skilled at it, well, let’s talk.

Okay, one very simple, very, very simple practice that you could start practicing is to 5, 10, 15 minutes getting a quiet place and open eyes or closed eyes, it doesn’t matter but be by yourself unless you have a partner that’s wanting to do this with you, and just first take a few deep breaths and relax your body and direct your body to relax, relax, relax, relax. Take a breath in and let the breath out. And as you take the breath in, feel what it feels like in your throat, in your nose, in your lungs as you take the breath in. What does it feel like in your body to take the breath in? Breath is life. You’re breathing in oxygen which is a fundamental ingredient for your aliveness, for your life. So, feel your breath in, feel what it feels like and then let your breath out. And what does that feel like in your body? What does that feel like? So, do that for a few minutes, one or two minutes. And then, start tracking. This exercise is called “sensation tracking” and start noticing the sensations, just the sensations. Don’t judge them, don’t try to fix them, don’t try to change them, just notice them. What are the sensations in your face as you breathe in and out?

What are the sensations in your throat as you breathe in and out? What are the sensations in the back of your head as you breathe in and out? What are the sensations in your chest and shoulders as you breathe in out, as you relax just a little bit more? What are the sensations in your knees and feet and legs as you breathe in and out? What are the sensations in your stomach as you breathe in and out? Okay, that’s it. That’s it. Well, those sensations to the degree that you can actually feel sensations, just the bare sensations, that’s it. Those sensations, your consciousness of those sensations is your skill level and being aware of your aliveness. Knowing, perceiving, being aware of your aliveness is through the sensations in your body, the feelings in your body. If you’re not as skilled as you want to be in being or if you’re not skilled at all at being aware of the flow of your life, do this sensation tracking exercise for at least five minutes every day for a month and you’ll be way, way more skilled at being aware of the flow of your life, the life inside of you.

And learning, experiencing what it feels like to be aware of the flow of life inside of you is a very fundamental skill because only then can you develop the skill of noticing when you’re not aware of the flow of the life force inside of you. And that information to know “Am I connected to my life or am I not connected in my life?” is fundamental for happiness, for optimal functionality, for effectiveness. Say yes to loving the flow of your life. Say no to getting disconnected from the flow of your life. Yeah, when you are connected to loving the flow of your life that’s as good as it gets, that’s as good as it gets. That’s, yeah, like you can do nothing wrong when you’re knowing your life, when you’re feeling your life, and you’re loving your life. Loving your life in the moment, it doesn’t get any better than that and it’s a skill. It’s a skill and you can improve your skill at loving your life, no matter where you’re at on loving your skill, success continuum.

If you’re happy once a year, or if you can’t even remember being happy, well, that’s an indication that you’re very, very, very unskilled at loving the flow of your life. And it probably means you’re very, very unskilled at being aware of the flow of your life, okay? Well, even if you’re at that level of un-skill, I’ll say, if you’re really unhappy, you still can learn. You still can learn how to love your life. Yeah. That’s what I’m offering you. I can’t do that for you, you’re the one who has to want to build your skill and to want to build your skill you’ve got to believe that you can build your skill. So, maybe that’s what I can give you is the belief that you can build your skill to be happy every moment of the day. Now, if you’re way, way down low that will seem incredible, but I promise you I know that if you want it, you can have it, if you’re willing to work for it. If you’re willing to put in the time and effort to develop the skills necessary, to build your skill at being aware of the flow of your life, of the life inside of you, and to build your skill at loving the flow of the life inside of you. That’s what this class is about. Say yes to loving the flow of your life. Say no to getting disconnected from loving the flow of your life.
