There’s Nothing Wrong, There’s Only Reality — Transcript

There’s nothing wrong. There’s only reality. There’s nothing wrong. There’s only reality. That’s the class. That’s the class today.

Okay. This is a basic, basic, basic, basic principle of truth, for happiness, for success. Yeah. There is nothing wrong. There is only reality.

Okay, let’s start with you. There is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you. There is only the reality of you. There is nothing wrong with you. There is only the reality of you. There has never been anything wrong with you. There’s only been the reality of you. Each moment of your life up into this moment and in this moment, that’s true too! There is nothing wrong with you. No matter what your situation in life is. No matter what your body feels like. There is nothing wrong with you. There might… Yeah, you might have physical challenges. You might have mental challenges. You may have emotional challenges. You may have relational challenges. You may have money challenges. You may have any kind of challenges and that’s the reality of where you’re at. That’s reality! You might not like the reality of the moment. You might not like your reality in this moment, the reality of your body, but there’s nothing wrong with you. There’s only the reality of you.

Take that in. Yeah, I really want you to get that. It’s so basic and it’s so… [chuckle] What I’d say? So, radical to our cultural… At least, our Western American, United States cultural understanding of life. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality. Yeah. Yeah, that’s the class.

So, get what I mean and I think, to get what I mean, you really have to start with the reality of you. Like, as you’re listening to me, as you’re listening to my words, there’s a reality in you, in the second, in the moment, in the millisecond as you’re listening to my voice. There’s a reality of how your voice, how you are hearing my words, how you are responding or reacting to my words. How you are listening to me, there’s that reality. And there’s all the reality of all the stuff — your height, your weight, your body — your body reality. Yes, slow down, slow down, and I’m going to slow down. There is nothing wrong. There is only reality. Well, there’s nothing wrong with you in this moment. If you can get it in this moment, if you can get what I mean in this moment, you can get it in every moment. And in your life… Wow! If you get this principle and you integrate this principle… I’m going too fast again. [chuckle] I really want you to get this principle.

There is nothing wrong with you. There’s nothing wrong with you and there never was and there never will be. And yes, you’ve had… Wherever you’re at, at your life you’ve had many challenges, you’ve had many frustrations, you’ve had many things you didn’t like, and there are probably things about you… About you, even about your body that you don’t like, and there’s nothing wrong with your body. There’s nothing wrong with your body. If that’s one of your challenges… Listen to me say that, take that in. There’s nothing wrong with your body, there’s only the reality of your body. That’s the principle.

Now, I can imagine some people who have a lot of body dislike stuff going on. “I’m too fat”, “I’m too small”, “I’m too short”, “I’m too tall”, “I’m too round” or “My stomach’s too big” or whatever, that you may be resisting this. If that’s the case, just get it. Just get the concept of it. The reality of your body, the reality of you is the reality of you. Period, end of story. It’s not right, it’s not wrong. There is nothing wrong with you.

Yeah, that’s the class today. There’s nothing wrong, there’s only reality. So, slow down and turn… In just a minute, I’m… Let me give you some directions to play with this, to explore this further.

There’s nothing wrong. There’s only reality. Yeah. So what I’m going to leave with you with is — I’m going to end this class — but I’m going to leave you with committing yourself to a minute to five minutes. You decide; a minute or five minutes. And you find a place where you can be with yourself and the reality of your body, the reality of your mind, the reality of your wholeness, the reality of who are physically, mentally, emotionally and et cetera, et cetera, et cetera for one to five minutes, whichever time period you’re choosing. You can do it longer but at least one to five minutes.

No, no, no don’t. Don’t do it any more than five minutes, yeah. You can do it more than once a day but only commit the one minute, two minutes, three minutes, four minutes or five minutes. And just take a few deep breaths, close your eyes probably best. So you need to be in that place where that’s appropriate. You can do that. You feel safe. And feel undisturbed, be reasonably sure you’re going to be undisturbed. I would suggest even turning your phone off for that minute or five minutes and just contemplate: “There’s nothing wrong. There’s only the reality of me.”  “There’s nothing wrong with my body. There’s only the reality of my body.”  “There’s nothing wrong with my mind. There’s only the reality of my mind.” And if that is too challenging for you, pull it back and just focus on the body. But it’s true, there’s nothing wrong with your mind. If you need to tell yourself that, I’m telling you that right now. Yeah, “there’s nothing wrong with me. There’s only the reality of me.”  Maybe just stay with that, with… Yeah, for one to five minutes. And just explore how you respond to that. Do you resist to that? Do you argue with that? Do you disagree with that? Does your body react to that? And share with me your reactions or comments. This is… If you’ve grown up in our culture where your parents, your educational system was telling you subtly, .  .  .  .  .  .   that there was something wrong with you, unless you did it this perfect way, yeah…

Our Western culture gives us a mixed message that, “Well, you’re not perfect – no one’s perfect” but on the other hand the culture sends us the message that if you’re not doing it perfectly, well, there’s something wrong with you, right? If you’re not number one top of your class, the hero of the football team, yeah, there’s something wrong with you, that you’re not quite good enough.  Our culture sends that mixed message. Well, neither side is true. There’s only the reality of you. Period, end of story. You’re not good, you’re not bad, there’s only the reality of you. That’s the class today.

So just contemplate on this and send me the results of your study. You do this for at least a week and write down your experiences, your resistances and share them with me. Share them with… Send in, if you don’t want to share publicly, make them in a comment to me. If… I mean, in the contact form. Okay? If you’re fine with including on the sharing your experience with the world (or I should say your fellow students of life who are also checking out these classes)… This class, this class in particular, share them in a comment. I really would love to hear your experience with this teaching, with this principle, with this basic, basic, basic, basic, basic life principle for happiness. There’s nothing wrong. There’s only reality. There’s nothing wrong with you. There’s only the reality of you.
