Be Open to Learning the Reality of Others

There are two kinds of learning. There is fixed-fact learning — which is what our educational system is focused on, and I’m even going to say “obsessed with,” and I’m even going to say, “and which our culture is obsessed with.”   The other kind of learning is what I’m calling “reality of the moment learning.”  This class, “be open to learning the reality of others” is the second kind of learning. Be open to learning the reality of this other person in this moment.

Every moment, you have a certain reality to you. .  .  . to your life, to your aliveness, to your energy, to your body, to your mind, to your brain, to  .  .  .  .  everything about you. There’s a certain reality to you in the moment.  .  .  .  .  And the same is true for every single other human being. So, what this class is about, is being hip to that reality; hip to the reality that everyone you interact with today, everyone you’re going to interact with tomorrow, everyone in your life, at this moment right now, they have a certain reality to them, and it’s not your reality.  It’s a separate reality, it’s a different reality.    So, this class is about, “Be open to learning” the ever-changing reality of the other people you interact with.
