Be Open to Learning What You Want & What You Don’t Want Every Moment

Be open to learning what you want and what you don’t want every moment.  This is a basic skill. It’s a basic skill to be open to learning every moment, which is, at Tom’s University, the principle that life is changing every moment. So be open to learning what is going on right now in the life inside of you and the life outside of you. Be open to learning what’s going on with reality right now, right now, every right now. So every class has the “be-open-to-learning principle” with it. We’re not talking about fixed skill learning. We’re talking about basic skill learning at Tom’s University.

The skill of knowing what you want and what you don’t want every moment is a basic, basic skill too. If you know yourself, if you know who you are, part of knowing who you are in the moment is knowing what you want in that moment. What do you want to be doing in this moment? What do you want to be putting your attention on in this moment.  It’s a basic, basic skill for an optimally functional human being, for a healthy human being.
